Twenty Questions? Make It a Hundred!

There are lots of "random question" lists all over the Internet. I really like reading them, so I figured I'd post a few here. Just for the sake of good fun, right? Feel free to stop reading midway if you get bored, it’s 100 questions long and the whole post grew to an astounding 3026 words!

1. What’s your name?
Adrielne. Oh, so you meant my real name? It's Ada. And yes, that's short for Adrianna. Yes, with two "n"-s and when people spell it with one, I get angry and point their mistake out. Usually in a rude "you missed a spot" style way. It annoys me!!!

2. What is your favorite thing to wear?
Now, in 35*C, something light, like shorts. Ask me in the winter and I'll probably say "my cousin's sweatshirt"... On second thought, my cousin's sweatshirt would actually come in first place anyway. If it's too warm to actually wear it, it makes a good pillow.

3. Last thing you ate?
I’m eating spinach-roquefort pasta as I’m writing this, but before that... A blueberry muffin. It was heavenly!

4. One place you will NEVER eat at?
Just one? I have about ten! But okay, McDonald's. KFC, Burger King and all those other nasty ones, too, but there is a McDonald's near me, so the feelings are strongest. Honestly, how can people go to Poison Center for a family dinner on a Sunday???

5. I say Shotgun, you say...
Wild west!

6. Does anyone you know want to date you?
I doubt it.

7. Would you date anyone you met online?
Just anyone? Nope. I don’t trust those dating sites. There are too many creeps out there! I’d have to know the person really well before I even decided to meet them, but I wouldn’t just agree to date them online. That’s sort of pointless, isn’t it?

8. Name something you like physically about yourself:
My eyes, my shoulders and my fingernails. An odd first three, wouldn’t you say? But most of all, I like how I feel good being me.

9. The last place you went out to dinner to?
Pizza. Today morning. Fifteen minutes after running two kilometers. Counterproductive much? Of course. Fun? You bet!

10. Who is your best friend?
Wow. That’s a difficult question. Can I say that it’s impossible to name just one person and it’s actually about five people?

11. What time of the day is it?
3:01pm. And I should be reviewing stories. Is there a “Procrastinator of the Year” award? If so, I should probably be the one who gets it. I’ve only reviewed forty chapters of a story and I’m supposed to reach a hundred by midnight tonight...

12. Who/What made you angry today?
Unreasonable “logic” of neglecting legitimate arguments in favor of irresponsible ones.

13. Baseball or Football?
Neither, really. Football if we’re talking about soccer, though. But I can’t see the point of either hitting a ball and running in circles or of making the biggest pile of protective gear-clad guys with black lines on their cheeks...

14. Favorite type of Food?
Sushi wins first place. But I also like Polish food a lot: pierogies (sort of like dumplings, only they have all sorts of stuff inside: strawberries, blueberries, white/cottage cheese, sauerkraut and mushrooms, potatoes and cheese, anything really), bigos (a mix of sauerkraut, cabbage and three kinds of meat, cooked for three to four days), gołąbki (cabbage stuffed with meat), tomato soup (no cabbage here), frikadellers (fried meatballs, also cabbageless)... And many more cabbageless dishes. Spain and Italy also have good food, but this question would turn into a post of its’ own.

15. What was the last thing you took a picture of?
My dinner.

16. What are you doing for your next birthday?
Celebrating my first official steps into adulthood in the good company of family, friends and chocolate cake, of course!

17. Favorite holiday:
Christmas, because my whole family gets together (all forty-some people) and there’s what could be called a three-day dinner... It’s lots of chaos and hard work to prepare, but it’s fun!

18. Do you download music:
Of course! But not anymore lately, because my computer doesn’t have any memory left with the number of pictures I have on it... Getting an external memory thing would be a good idea!

19. Do you care if your socks are dirty?
If they smell, they should be put in the wash. If there’s a tiny spot on them after I wore them for an hour, oh well, they’ll live.
.
20. Opinion of Chinese symbol tattoos?
If you don’t know what it means or the meaning isn’t particularly important to you - no point in getting one. Especially

21. Would you date the person that posted this?
Kristina Horner, the one from one of my favorite wrock bands, The Parselmouths? Wow.

22. Has anyone ever sang or played for you personally?
Yes! It’s fun having musically talented friends!

23. Do you love anyone?
Many people. A lot. And the love goes all over the world to my family and friends who live far away!

24. Are colored contact lenses sexy?
First off, I don’t see why someone would stick a curved piece of some dyed polymer in their eye just because. It's horrifying, pointless and horrifying. Having said that, the “secondly, I’d die before I put something in my eye” doesn’t even need to be written. Thirdly, I don’t think the word “sexy” in reference to something stuck in someone else’s eye is the correct word to use. Does it look nice? Sometimes, but it still scares me.

25. Have you ever bungee jumped?
Absolutely not. And I never will.

26. Have you ever gone white-water rafting?
No. But this I’d be more inclined to try. Only a bit, but it’s just outside of the “never in my life” sector reserved for suicidal activities.

27. Has anyone ten years older than you ever hit on you?
Yeah. It was... Scary.

27. How many pets do you have?
Zero, sadly. But I want a dog named Sirius and a horse named Brego. Call me a book freak, I don’t care.

29. Have you met a real redneck?
Nope.

30. How is the weather right now?
It’s very, very warm, a summery 36*C on my thermometer. I don’t mind, it’s my near-perfect weather! It would be better if it was just a few degrees less - around 30-32*C... I wouldn’t complain.

31. What are you listening to right now?
Silence. Which is odd. I’ll turn the radio on... Ahh, now better. “It’s Raining Man” is on.

32. What is your current favorite song?
There’s a whole list of twenty just one blog post earlier.

33. What was the last movie you watched?
”Inception”. It’s a brilliant movie, you should really go see it if you haven’t yet!

34. Do you wear contacts?
Look up a few points. Does my horrible fear of them cover this question?

35. Where was the last place you went besides your house?
The pizza place ten blocks from my house.

36. What are you afraid of?
Bugs that wouldn’t fit on a bottle cap. Time passing too quickly. Odd noises in the dark after watching a good horror movie. The corpse hanging from the light. Not being a good enough person. Rides that go upside down.

37. How many piercings have you had?
I have one in each ear, but I want a second one in one ear. Who wants to go with me and hold my hand?

38. What piercings do you want?
I thought we covered that?

39. What piercings would you never get?
There’s a lot of those and I probably don’t even know about half. Humans can be pretty inventive when it comes to these things... Anyways, “anything that’s not the earlobe” pretty much sums it up.

40. What do you usually order from CoffeeHeaven?
Cappucino with caramel in the winter, caramel frappe or a mojito in the summer.

42. Have you ever fired a gun?
Yeah, and at an actual shooting range. I hit the target three times. Impressive, eh? No, not really. I had ten bullets. The other seven never even hit the board... But hey, it was far away! And I could barely hold the gun straight, I was ten!

43. Are you missing someone?
Too many. Too much.

44. Favourite TV show?
House M.D. and Bones. The only shows I watch, and not regularly at that.

45. Do you have an obession with WoW?
I’ve never played it, so the answer is “no”.

47. Has anyone said you look like a celebrity?
No.

47. What celeb do you look like?
But I just- *sigh* Never mind.

48. Who would you like to see right now?
Anna Hrabicz, who is now in Germany. Julia Kasprowicz-Dimitrov, who’s married and in Bulgaria. My cousins, who just left. Bri Schmidt, Antonia Picco, Greta Zarr, Ania Freund, Magda Staw, Magda Sosin, Monika Chwedk and Monika Skulim, Ela Grudzien, Zuzia Niepieklo and Ola Bokus. And just for good measure, let’s add JK Rowling, Alex Pettyfer and Viggo Mortensen to the list...

49. Favorite movie of all time?
That’s an impossible task... “The Illusionist”, “Inception”, “Deja Vu”, that movie about the guy knowing the outcome of his actions (with the main character of “National Treasure” as the main character, I think), “Trick” (a Polish movie, but VERY good), “Shrek”...

50. Do you find yourself loved?
Yes, and I’m reminded of it every minute of every day, however corny that may sound.

51. Have you ever been caught doing something you weren’t suppose to?
”Oh get over yourself, who HASN'T” said Kristina. I second that.

52. Favorite smell?
New books. Freshly baked brownies. Coffee in the morning. Peaches in the summer. Tangerines in the winter. Ginger root when it’s cold.

53. Butter, plain, or salted popcorn?
Plain.

54. What’s something that really bugs you?
People who don’t know how to think, but they pretend otherwise. Bad grammar and spelling in messages of any sort. Too big egos. Too yellow walls that practically scream “throw yourself out the window! We’re too happy for you!!!” at everyone. Wearing stripes with any other patterned piece of clothing. Lots of things bug me, I just try not to let them.

55. Do you like Michael Jackson?
The music - definitely! “Billie Je-an is not my lo-ver...”

56. Taco Bell or Burger King?
Neither. I’ve never been there, so how am I supposed to choose?

57. What’s your favorite perfume?
The kind that I can afford. “Life” and “Connect”, both by Esprit, are my favorite ones so far and the only two I actually paid for myself. I got an expensive 10ml bottle of Chanel no.5 for my birthday last year from someone... But I didn’t want to waste it, so I put it in a safe place and of course I can’t find it now.

58. Favorite baseball team?
Pittsburgh Pirates. The only one I know the name of xD

59. Ever call a 1-900 phone number?
Umm.... No.

60. What’s the longest time you’ve gone without sleep?
About seventy hours, I think. It may have been more, but I wasn’t able to tell the clock hands apart anymore, so it got confusing. It was during NaNoWriMo last year, when I had to write a lot in two days because twenty thousand words just disappeared... And I won!

61. Last time you went bowling?
Last summer, with my friends. We really have to repeat that sometime!

62. Where is the weirdest place you have slept?
On a row of chairs at the JFK airport in New York? At a train station? In a kayak, while it drifted? On a chest of drawers? I’m not sure which to choose...

63. Who was your last phone call?
My friend.

64. When was the last time you were given roses?
Women’s Day, this year. By a stranger on a bus stop.

65. Do you prefer to take showers at night or in the morning?
At night. I couldn’t imagine going to bed without showering and it would take me too long to wake up enough in the morning as not to kill myself in the process.

66. Have you ever had your blood taken?
Of course. Too many times, at least to my liking.

67. Ever had braces?
Yes, I did, and it wasn’t half as bad as I thought it would be!

68. Do you know any one with the same name as you?
Yes, she used to live on my street. I don’t know where she is now, but she was my best friend in preschool!

69. Whats your favorite number?
Ahh, the irony... Anyways, I don’t have a favorite number. Possibly 5 or 7... Or 31. I have a thing for prime numbers, though. They’re more original.

70. Do people ever misspell your name?
Only foreigners.

71. What was the last sporting event you watched?
The final game of the Football World Cup - Spain versus the Netherlands.

72. When you're home alone, do you still close the door when you shower?
No, I don’t bother. That way the rest of the house doesn’t feel unnaturally cold when I leave the bathroom!

73. Has a friendship ended recently that you wish hadn't?
it hasnt really ended, just put on pause until school.

74. You win the $100 million power-ball lottery: What do you do?
I put it on a bank account until July 2012 and go to Ascendio, visiting London and the city I used to live in on the way. With the rest, I buy a house, a dog and a horse. I put whatever’s left over on a bank account and live off the interest while writing bestselling novels...

75. Can you watch scary movies alone?
Of course! It’s not like I’ll jump at any sound once the movie ends. Or be afraid to get off the sofa (or make any sudden movements). Or not want to get up to go to the bathroom once I make it to my bed because it's so dark in the hall.

76. Soft bed or firm?
Firm. I can’t sleep on a soft mattress!

77. Would you rather stay home all day, or be out and about?
It depends on what I’d do if I stayed home and what “out and about” meant.

78. Are you more likely to be with a large group of people or a few close friends?
A few close friends is all I need, but bigger groups are fun, too!

79. Where would you like to live?
A house in the country, by a lake or a river that’s good for swimming. And with a forest close. And not a completely flat area, either. And the house has to be just as I want it, a mix of old and modern. And I want it to be a REAL country region, with farms and fields and grazing livestock. Yes, I know the smell of that and yes, I really feel better there than in big city smog. But then again, I'd like it to be reasonably close to the city I live in, a two or three hour drive at the most... High expectations? You bet.

80. What's your ideal profession?
Part-time novel writer, part-time piano teacher.

81. Are you good in Math?
It depends on what level of Math we’re talking about. I can add and subtract numbers, but when you give me a problem with sequences and all that... I might be confused, but I’ll probably figure it out at the end. So the answer should be “no, but I can think!”.

82. What's stashed under your bed?
Nothing, my bed is one of the fold-out couches, there isn’t any room under it. If there was, it would just be “potential mess ground”...

83. Is there anyone you regret ever meeting?
Yes, there are a few.

84. You're having a bad day, what's one thing that can make your day better?
Talking to someone about it. Getting a hug from a friend. Getting chocolate from someone. Writing. Listening to some music that I like. Many things make my day better, I’m an optimist.

85. Do you keep secrets well?
Yes.

86. Can you sing?
I like to think that I can, just not too loud. I don’t sing off pitch, but my voice is all but strong and powerful.

87. Do you think you can last an hour without talking?
Of course I could! But... Are inner rants allowed?

88. Whats your favorite color?
Blue, red, green, yellow, brown.

89. Do you like the color brown?
I think I just covered that...

90. Last thing you drank?
Grapefruit juice. Healthy eating day today! Well, except for the pizza... But that’s a minor detail, right?

91. Have you ever received a love letter?
No, but it’s the epitome of good-taste romantic, I think.

92. Have you ever been suspended or expelled from school?
Of course not!

93. Have you ever cried in a movie theater?
Nope. I don’t cry on movies. It just doesn’t work that way - movies aren’t the real thing. Besides, what’s the fun in paying for a ticket for a room to cry in? It’s better to appreciate a movie and having blurred vision wouldn’t help with that much, would it?

94. Do you wear a watch?
No, I don’t. I used to, but then the watch broke and I got quite an expensive one for my 15th birthday to replace it... And I’m worried I might break it or lose it if I wear it everyday. Which is a bit stupid, but hey - I don’t want it to not survive a few years!

95. What’s one thing you’ve learned this year?
Don’t accept random dares given past one a.m., it can never end well.

96. Like irony much?
Hahaha... If I give you an ironic reply, it won’t carry over well in writing, so I'll speak plainly: yes.

97. What do you want to know about the future?
Nothing. I’d prefer to see everything as it comes instead of knowing ahead about any terrible things that might happen. And if I found about something good and was really set on it happening, I’d probably modify the future in a way that would make it never happen. So thanks, but I’ll take my normal human curiosity any day.

98. If you were to get a superpower, what would it bePotter-style magic. I’d especially like the “accio” charm. Why move to get something if you can wave a stick and it flies over to you? It would be a great help to my lazy self...

99. Your dream vacation?
Good company, interesting location, decent weather. That’s really all there is to it!

100. Are you happy that you’re done with this list?
Immensely.
