The 1200 characters that I have to even begin describing myself on my profile would never be enough, so I decided to create this page. Let's all raise a glass to no word limits!
First things first. You might call me intolerant or rude, but I don't like to have my user name shortened. If you want to address me, call me Adrielne. Please, don't modify the name. If I wanted to be called Ad, Adrie, Adri, Lene, Lane, A-lene or any other variation, I would have made that my user name.
Some random facts about me:
- I play the piano. I have been playing since I was four.
- I love adrenaline, chocolate, and dyeing my hair with wash-off dyes.
- My mom is my best friend in the whole world.
- I talk too much for my own good.
- Deadlines and I don't work well together.
- I like random digressions.
- Studying isn't something I like doing.
- I have a short temper when dealing with people incapable of thinking.
- There's too much optimism in me sometimes.
- I own 8 pairs of shoes. I love them all and want no more.
- I'm deathly scared of needles.
- If I wasn't, I'd have a vine tattooed on my back.
- I like movie marathons.
- Helping is for fun, not for personal gain.
- I want to own a candy store, a castle and a rocketship with enough fuel to get me to Mars.
- I sing Michael Jackson songs while cleaning.
- I'm fully myself only when around friends.
- Children's movies rock my world.
- Discussions are my favorite pastime.
- I like sword-and-dagger fight scenes in movies.
- I run out of ink on my printer too often.
Some things I've done or accomplished:
1. I've eaten raw fish, roasted crickets, turtle soup, snails and frog legs.
2. I've hitchhiked with my friends an equivalent of the distance between New York and Boston.
3. I have been known to sleep for 14 hours straight and go to sleep at my regular time the day after.
4. I tripped on my way across the stage at my first piano recital, fell on my face and ran off the stage crying because I thought I broke my nose.
5. I have been in the National Choir.
6. I've met the author of one of my favorite books.
7. I have never cheated on a test.
8. I have called a random number and had an hour-long conversation with the person who picked up. About macaroni.
9. I have eaten an entire one-kilo chocolate cake by myself in a day.
10. I have ran three miles without stopping (huge adrenaline rush and a big dog chasing me - I was eight).
11. I have written and published a piece of poetry.
12. I've lived in a foreign country for five years.
13. I have read over 1000 books.
14. I have performed on the best-known professional stage in my country.
15. I've lied to my parents about where I was and where I was going.
16. I have written and recorded a song.
17. I've gotten in a car with a complete stranger.
18. I've run into a well-known actor while I was looking for the bathroom. I didn't get an autograph only because I preferred to find the toilet.
19. I've slept in an airport terminal overnight. Twice.
20. I've spent three days in a row in pajamas while not being in bed or sick.
21. I've gone to school forgetting my school bag, lunch... Everything.
22. I've worked in a lingerie store.
23. I've slept on a bathroom floor.
24. I've burst out laughing during a funeral ceremony.
25. I've eaten an entire birthday cake and there was none left for the actual birthday.
26. I've been cast for the lead role in a musical.
27. I've given money to homeless people on the side of the road and had long conversations with some of them later.
28. I've watched the entire Lord of the Rings extended edition trilogy in one day.
29. I've spent more than $1000 in a bookstore once. It was all of my Communion money, but I got nearly 50 books.
30. I forgot to take a $100 bill out of my pocket before throwing the pants in the wash.
31. I've read the last part of Harry Potter - the Deathly Hallows - in six hours, nonstop.
32. I've slept at a train station.
33. I've talked on the phone for more than 3 hours.
34. I can say the 'Hail Mary' in 10 languages.
35. I've had surgery.
36. I made a Twitter account (Adrielne01), but only after two years of being buggered about creating one.
37. I've watched every episode of House M.D.
38. I've been in the Caribbean and I swam with sharks.
39. I've stolen a candy bar from a store and returned it the next day, unopened.
40. I've captained a sailboat, even though I have no clue how one works.
41. I've had a pet chicken named Pixie (but my aunt cooked her for dinner one day).
42. I've accomplished a life goal - keep up piano lessons for over 10 years.
43. I've been meeting my yearly reading goals since I was seven.
44. I have had a boyfriend. In second grade of primary school.
45. I've sharpened a pencil so much it disappeared.
46. I've lived a week straight on bananas for a dare.
47. I've refused to eat peanut butter - never tried it, never will.
48. I've stayed up all night chatting on Facebook.
49. I've ridden a camel.
50. I've written an email message that was 15 thousand words long.
